• Sideface Barred Numeral Type 2a (7 mm) is rated 2R. Only found on 1st and some early 2nd Sideface issues. Numerals are thinner than the 2b type numerals, the foot of the 2 is not raised and the top line of the 6 is less curved
• Sideface Barred Numeral Type 2b (8 mm) is rated Common. The third bar on the left hand side is shortened
