Drayton post office, 6 km south of Toowoomba and originally known as Darling Downs (until 1849), opened on 1 January 1846.

  • Chalon Ray Type N2a (5.5 mm) (21 Rays) is rated Rare
  • Sideface Ray Type N2a (5.5 mm) (21 Rays) is rated 2R. Only found on issues before 1894

Nebo post office, 80 km south west of Mackay, opened on 1 January 1864. Previously it was located 11 km north west at Fort Cooper from 1 January to 31 December 1863

There is some confusion over the use of a numeral for Drayton after 1894. It would appear that different size 1e ray numeral 85s were used for both Drayton and Nebo but this can only be confirmed once clear proving strikes for Drayton are seen
